Just finished this front yard in time for this fantastic fall to end. I'm sad trading in my shovel for the snow shovel.....

So this is the week to get your outdoor clean ups completed in the close to 70F temps and sun. The NW flow will return by the weekend bringing showers and much colder temps.

This evening marked the close of Fall and the beginning of winter with the migration of hundreds of Canadian Geese flying overhead in the typical V formation. It was awesome to watch and hear and something I have never experienced before. So, with the birth of winter on our doorstep... What do you think our winter weather will be like?

2015-2016 winter weather in a nutshell. "The blob" is a section of warm water caused by a high pressure. It is the predominate reason for the extreme winter for us as of late and warmth and drought in the west. This summer a Super El Nino has developed to historic proportions. Usually this would create a certain death of any winter hopes for the region. ... So what will win ?? A trough caused by the El Nino or the high pressure ridge of the blob.?? To me, this winter will be the season of wild... The only variable will be the temperature.

August weather... Cooler and wet !! Enjoy the last of the ac days for a while. Early winter predictions of a super El Nino development is likely. Could be interesting expecially with the warmth in the NW pacific ocean "The Blob" which is throwing normal forecast trends into a chaos. This is the same blob which is causing our crazy winters of late....
