Please take this survey and voice your opinions. I went to check on a condo listing that had sold earlier this year to compare the size to one that I was listing and the measurements DISAPPEARED. Strange I didn't know room sizes where a secret in Real Estate, but in Alberta they make us realtors measure every house every time it is listed and in the last year and 1/2 there have been multiple listing to get a home sold. And they don't believe in a condo measurements that w...ere designed by an architect, registered at the city of Calgary and in land titles. Those measurements don't change from 1972 to now. So why are we not going by the registered Condo size. Also they did a number on the attached homes, etc. as they had us measure from inside of paint to Paint when we used to measure like this was a regular house ( it is not). This dropped the size of these infills and when compared to single family home in the neighbourhood, these people lost money on their sale as their size dropped by 100 to 200+ sq. ft. Now they wan to go back to the outside wall measurements. Fire the people who brought this in. Wasn't me and I fought this every step. TOO MUCH Government. And the Real Property Report, that piece of paper that tells you where your house is situated on the lot, travels with the house. One owner recently paid for the measurement of their property and when it did not sell and another real estate agent took it over, the RECA/Calgary Real Estate Board would not accept the owner paid for measurement paper. what is wrong with this picture . And multiple costs to remeasure a house.DUH!!! If You have questions please feel free to call me .
