Rounding up our Apron Series (No. 1 was the Half Apron and No. 2 was the Bib Apron) is No. 3, The Tessuti Apron! The Tessuti Apron is a free pattern (thank you @tessutifabrics !) for a tunic-style cross back apron that is easy to sew and so wonderful to wear (no tying straps and no slipping off). After having sewn a few of these aprons, I recommend using a heavier weight fabric for durability as well as a really nice drape. For those who have been wondering what to make ...for holiday gifts this year, this may be the pattern of the season! It's appropriate for all ages and genders, for a variety of uses (not just cooking!) as well as an endless possibility of customizations such as embroidering a special name or a child's handprint, adding numerous pockets or appliqué, or even incorporating patchwork!
