Daisies Journey 02.02.2021

So Daisy's still going to be active. Just not rhis spring...or maybe summer. It is a huge expense and one that i am working on to get going. Makes me sad but she will come alive. Mark my words!

Slow going but still plugging away. Took off panelling to make sure wiring was up to code....next step is a steam clean of the inside. Slow and steady wins the race! Sadie kept watch for spiders and shadows of course.

Daisies makeover has started!!! She got a power wash to remove as much paint as possible. Then her insides were tore out... Rob has been a trooper in tackling this chore. As we were tearing out the cupboards there were a few hornets...One which Rob took care of in a manly way. Found some nests ... Mike and Anne helped get the sliding window open...well Mike tried...Anne succeded. We then had a ceremonial fire and turned daisies old parts into ash... Out with the old in with the new!!!

Today Rob and i ventured out to take daisy to her makeover home a.k.a Rob's farm. We took back roads because we wanted to be safe and take it slow. Daisy was doing so well...until about 5km from our destination...daisy ran out of propane! We tried to hook the portable tank up with no such luck. Rob called for a tow and we had nothing to do but wait. While sitting in his truck his lovely parents were passing by on their way home from church...they recognized it was us and stopped. And saved us a big towing fee by using their CAA. All in all it was a success...Daisy made he arrival and is now in safe hands. (Oh and the tow truck driver got his gloves and glasses back...minus a lense) Thank you Rob, Barb and Evan!
