Well, we almost went live this morning for my conversation with three friends from the Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry. While a technical hitch prevented us from... actually going live, we still held our conversation and recorded it. Below you will find the link to the full discussion ("Dal Almost Live"). It is longer than we anticipated (51 minutes), however, it was a really interesting conversation. To help you navigate the video, I provide an approximate indication here about where the different elements begin. Minute 0: Introductions and what it is like to work and study at the faculty during the COVID-19 crisis. Minute 10: Dr. Richard Price talks about 2 papers recently published in JADA (1. disinfecting dental loupes & 2. hazards with blue curing lights). Minute 22: Dr. Zeeshan Sheikh talks about a collaborative project in which new bone-grafting materials are being developed. Minute 33: Dr. Nader Hamdan talks about new CE developments at the faculty. Minute 44: Final comments and wrap-up. I hope I will be invited back to have more conversations with friends at Dal, other faculties and organizations in the Canadian oral health care sector . Most of all, I hope you enjoy the insights shared by our colleagues during this conversation, which I found most interesting.
