We asked one of the winners of the Pattillo Prize in Advocacy, Nicole Kelly, about her experience in the Smith Shield: Competing in the Smith Shield Moot was such a surreal experience! It was very intimidating to be mooting in front of such esteemed judges, especially with all of their curve ball questions. It's also hard enough trying to stay poised and come up with articulate answers, without adding the extra complications of mooting over Zoom. At one point during the moot, my microphone accidentally muted and I honestly just wanted to cry. That being said, it's crazy to think back to the 1L moot and see how far I've come. It was such an honour to compete and an experience I'll surely be talking about for many years to come! Congratulations again, Nicole!
