DalMScB Research Highlight Series (1) by Dr. Kyung Young Lee and Dr. Lorn Sheehan - People will perceive Smart Voice Assistant System (Speaker) as a human-like social actor and, thus, nurture illusion of intimacy from the experience with it, since voice elicits particularly strong social cues. This study provided evidence from a real-life user data (not from a controlled lab setting) to support that the continued use of SVAS (which does not have a lively physical robotic body) has a favorable impact on the group harmony among the users (not between a user and a machine) in a multi-person context. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10796-019-09975-1
