Another school year is in full swing, and the wet weather is creeping in. With bad weather, pedestrians need to be more aware of their surroundings to ensure their personal safety. Do your kids walk to school? Here are some tips to be sure to keep them safe on their journey! 1. Helmets! If riding a bike or scooter, make sure their helmet is being worn and still fits properly. 2. Have them buddy up with an older sibling or schoolmate. 3. Agree on a route and go over traffic sa...fety, crosswalks, stop signs and point out family friends' homes they can go to in case of an emergency. 4. Teach kids to put mobile phones away, they can be a dangerous distraction while walking or riding. 5. Teach your children to push through adversity!
