It has been one of the busiest summers of family celebrations I have ever had. With only five days home between ~July 30th to August 1st~ It worked out that I was able to help a family celebrate their Baba's 90th birthday with a portrait session with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. With family visiting from New Zealand it was an opportunity that couldn't be missed. When you look at this sneak peek though, I bet you wouldn't believe she was a day over eighty! :)

I was thrilled with how the decor turned out for Kirsten and Jesse's Wedding. They had a vision that centred around their love of nature. With many friends and family members pulling together to bring the beauty of the outdoors in, the hall looked stunning. I did pull out my camera to document the results of a lot of hard work and preparation by so many, and managed to capture the couple while enjoying their lovely wedding reception.

The best time to take photos is after a rain, when everything is extra vibrant and lush. Over the next few weeks the prairie fields and skies will be the perfect backdrop for your summer family portrait. Congratulations Ivette! You are a beautiful Graduate! In just three years you mastered a new language and then successfully graduated from high school in that second language. An accomplishment to be very proud of! With that achievement under your belt I know that whatever you decide to do, you will be a success at it.

Now that the light is lasting long into the evening the options for photography locations are endless. A few nights ago my daughter told me about a spot that she thought would be ideal for a photoshoot. So we went exploring and found several locations. And of course I had to take a few pictures to see if they were as perfect as I hoped... They were.
