We will be back virtually starting JANUARY 4! We are hopeful for some good news when the new restrictions are announced next week; we are so ready to welcome you back in person and remain optimistic we will see you in-studio very soon!

2020 is a year we will never forget... it was a year none of us had hoped for when it started 365 days ago. It was a year of no recitals, no competition season and we were secluded from our dance family on multiple occasions. . However, this year also taught us that even with ongoing challenges, it will not break us. We can adjust, adapt, think and push outside our comfort zones and preserver. . We found ways to stay connected and bond with our team even though we were a par...t. We continued our training and saw huge improvements in all of our dancers. We completed virtual ballet exams. We continued to learn choreography virtually and we are still preparing for performances even though it will look different. . Looking into 2021, we wish for joy, love, new possibilities and continued growth. Thank you for joining us on this wild and crazy journey! See more

Christmas Recital Revamped! . Well, the theme of 2020 continues and we must pivot! Our former Holiday Spectacular will be revamped this year to THE WINTER SPECTACULAR! . We are adapting to the current landscape and providing our dancers and their families a stage-like performance right in our studio! When considering the layout of our infamous Christmas Recital, we concluded that an in-studio performance is the safest option for our families and we appreciate your support in ...this new format! . Our commitment remains to provide our dancers and families: * A stage-like experience to showcase the progress they’ve made over the first few months of the program * Provide families the opportunity to see their child shine in a stage-like environment and build their confidence with applause and praise * Provide families a performance option that considers safety of dancers, audience members and staff * A virtual viewing option is available for extended family members or anyone unable to attend the in-person performance . Scholarship week concludes with our prestigious MICHELLE SMITH SCHOLARSHIP!! . Michelle was a student at Dance Discovery for over a decade. A talented dancer who inspired everyone around her, Michelle was determined to be the best she could be both on and off the dance floor. She had a fearless approach to her training which allowed her to become a noticeably special performer and an inspirational leader to her peers. . Each season, Dance Discovery along with the Smith famil...y, awards a student the MICHELLE SMITH SCHOLARSHIP. This scholarship is given in her memory to a student who embodies the same dedication, focus and fearlessness that Michelle demonstrated. . Emerson is one of our Intermediate dancers who exudes a genuine passion for dance! Emerson is extremely motivated and focused on achieving her goals and takes on her challenges with poise and grace. These five young ladies are entering their graduating year! We remember when they started just as tots and we have loved watching them grow into such beautiful and amazing dancers and role models. We will cherish every minute of this last year with you and we will make it the best one yet!
