To make sure people can get to work safely London is making room - a lot of room - for cycling and walking. Toronto should be ashamed of its lack of action and initiative. Combined with our shoddy provincial leadership we are set to be the next Italy come fall. Mayor John Tory there is still time to do the right thing. A few ‘quiet streets’ and car-free parks on the weekends should have already been the norm. We need serious rapid action to get bikeways on arterials now so people (many now called ‘essential workers’ you may have heard of them) can get to work.
