I am aware of many projects to enhance active transportation in Area A. Where do we begin or what should we prioritize? Please answer the survey and provide your thoughts ~

This coming week at CVRD we will have BC Assessment come and present. Last year Union Bay assessments went up significantly... this year it appears that Hornby and Denman market values have gone way up, with some reporting up to 40% increases. Don't hesitate if there are questions you want me to ask. With our cost cutting exercises this year some of you will see a tax decrease, but many, especially on the islands, will see a bump due to increased assessments. Also on the book...s this week is the Denman/Hornby fibre optic landing sites that will go before the full CVRD board; a proposed 180k contribution to the cross-denman trail; updates on our homelessness and air quality improvement programs; and budgets for fire protection, parks, planning, and community halls.
