About a month after Jay met Liam, he took him for a walk while I was at an appointment. He sent me a photo of happy little Liam in the stroller eating a snack. I couldn’t help but notice a brown coat he was wearing that I was certain I never bought for him. I asked where did you get that brown coat? to which Jay responded it was hanging up on the hooks by the door. Why? As I zoomed in on the photo to try and figure out which coat this was, I almost peed in my pants from laughter and realized it was Parker’s (dog) coat on Liam, layered fashionably with a jean jacket on top of it. This was precissely the moment I fell harder for him. Happy Father’s Day to the best of the best. We love you beyond words!

I’ve been wanting to share my thoughts on social media for days now but I am afraid to write the wrong thing or have people think what does this privileged girl from Thornhill and Foresthill know... it’s true. I don’t possibly know what it feels like to be a person of colour and the struggles they face everyday. I don’t possibly know how mothers and fathers feel raising black children today. I can’t possibly know the heart ache and fear that people face every minute of ever...y day being judged solely on the colour of their skin. All I do know is that I can better educate myself, I can educate and speak to my children about ongoing racism in the world, and I can make sure I am doing my very best to be kind, non judgemental and accepting of everyone so that my children can mirror the same characteristics and loving morals. The hatred needs to stop. See more
