Happy Friday!!! I just want to take a positive moment and thank all of my 2020 wedding couples for being amazing through this, for making it their priority to reserve their 2021 dates so quickly and for all their trust in me. I’m so happy I get to still celebrate their wedding days with them despite it being later than planned now we get an extra year to get to know each other, to make time for adventurous engagement sessions out of it and to really build up that excitement ...to dance the night away.. seriously I expect every 2021 dance floor to be non stop you guys, no excuses (I will be staying late at all of them just to enjoy every moment!) Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you for being the reason this was my 10th wedding season, I wouldn’t be here without all the trust, referrals and support. Wedding season is in full swing as is my full time job. I have been a little quiet around here lately and I promise I am still here... just juggling life and trying to find that balance all while still seeking more and more travel! I cannot believe I'm writing this but next year will be my 10th wedding season...10 years!!!! So with that being said I'm having a BIG giveaway to celebrate. Travel is the best way to be lost and found at the same time. This could not be more true, I had the opportunity to travel to 5 amazing new countries this year and each trip, each place I experienced things that really let me find myself and my purpose. Italy specifically did something amazing for me, I have no clue what it is because I still cannot find the words to properly describe it but I feel like things are about to completely change in an amazing way. I loved wande...ring around a strange city by myself and just getting to literally get lost and find my way back on my own. I loved taking a pasta making class and being able to experience something that I can actually bring home and put to use. I haven’t posted a lot this year as it was very busy with a lot of personal things as well as it was my busiest year in business. I have had an emotional year, I have broke down in tears a lot not just out of the major things that happened but also because of the kindness of my amazing friends, the ones who not only listened when I needed it but also did the smallest acts of kindness for me that left me balling! I mean who breaks down in tears because their friend packed a dress for Greece for you without asking first but because she knew you would want that? Who else cries when a friend shows up to take you to the Dr but also has dinner and treats in a nice basket? It really is the little thoughtful things that matter the most. So once I can literally wrap my mind around the changes I’ve had, find the words to describe what many have called my Eat, Prey, Love trip and sort through the thousands of photos I will share and tell the full story of these incredible adventures. For now it is off to get ready to make my Instagram story on how to make ravioli!

It’s hard to find the words to describe my last 9 weeks. Traveling to 5 new countries on some of the best adventures I’ve ever had was something I never thought I’d do. I had some moments that challenged my patience and others where nothing went wrong, I met so many incredible people along the way and some in the most unexpected ways. It will take me a few days to come up with the right words to really describe how it had changed me but these new travel stories will be ones I never want to forget. It's a promise they made to each other; to make time in a busy life and stroll, hand in hand, and to appreciate the small things in their path and each other's company.

I’m still on cloud nine from Chris and Kat’s wedding in New Zealand! It’s pretty rare to find what these two have and I’m just so incredibly happy for them and glad to have them back in Canada now! I even got to join in on their mini honeymoon in Te Anau and Milford Sound for photo purposes of course @ Cromwell, New Zealand

A quick update during this busy season: I only have room for 1 family mini session left for September. I may open up a few hours on a Saturday (likely the 8th). These sessions don't have to be just family sessions if you are a couple you are more than welcome to jump in on these as well! I will be updating the times left on the events page for these today. Turn around time will be longer this year with 2-3 weeks wait time to get your galleries delivered.

This trip was the first trip I took only my film camera with me and what an amazing thing that was to do! First off I knew that every photo I took was essentially costing me $2/image so I was careful to not over shoot and that allowed me to just enjoy the views without constantly shooting and checking through my images. It was also an exciting surprise to get my film scans back because I couldn’t recall anything I had taken a photo of lol. I’m looking forward to this years adventures and being surprised by film all over again! Film scanned by my favourite @canadianfilmlaboratory

10 years these two have been married! I’m so grateful to have met them and captured their amazing 10 year vow renewal! This was dress number 1 of the day as she surprised him with a different one come the ceremony.... his look was priceless as he was confused about what just happened.

I’m a wildly adventurous photographer and over the past 7 years I have had the pleasure of working with clients from literally all over the world. Of course I love that my clients keep me in business. I love that they recommend me to their friends and families, but what I love the very most about them is that they consistently broaden my horizons and entrust me to do what I love, they just GET me! Some of my deepest friendships to this day have started out with their investment in my business. Cheers to my clients, both present and future...hope you’re one of them soon!

1 year ago today Stephanie and Haden said I do and celebrated with their family and friends. I know their first year was incredible as they welcomed their daughter into the world last month. Happy anniversary you guys! Miss you!!!!

Asking your florist for left over flowers is never a bad idea especially when your photographer loves detail photos.

A year ago my photo looked a lot different (swipe to see). I was going through so much and at the time it didn’t look that way as I still carried on as my happy self on the outside but looking back and comparing these photos it shows. Finding a lump in my breast was something I didn’t think would happen at 33 and at the beginning of a busy wedding season made it hard to focus. I feel like a lot of last year was a total blur. Skip forward to today and a lot has changed in this... last year and I’m so thankful that I have such amazing family and friends who have been there for me. I’m thankful for a lot but mostly for my health. I changed a lot of things in my lifestyle this last year and I have never felt better. I am in my happy place once again, I’m not perfect but I’m perfectly happy which is the most important. To me the most important things in life are to do what makes you happy, take that trip (I’ll even help you book it I’m a good at talking people into that trip lol), smile everyday and surround yourself with people who love and support you. I will be honest I get a lot of shit from people about how much I travel but I also would rather have stories to tell than materialistic things. A year ago yesterday I got to witness Brad and Nadine exchange vows for the second time! Some of you may recall that when I travelled to Drumheller for their engagement shoot they also eloped that day and I was their witness along with my second shooter Tess. How amazing is that? It is such an honour to be chosen to capture a wedding day but to be chosen to capture it twice is just the icing on the cake for me.. and we had AMAZING cake! Congrats Brad and Nadine on an amazing year, I wouldn’t have it any other way than to have met you two. I am a little late on posting these dates but had to see what my summer travel was since every single wedding is out of town this year. So thank you for your patience, I greatly appreciate it. These sessions will run 20 minutes so booking slots will be every 30 minutes. My dates for summer/fall mini sessions are as follows: Sunday June 24 from 5-9 Sunday July 15 from 6-9 Sunday August 12 from 5-9 - So far 5pm and 9pm are booked.... Sunday September 2 5-9 Sunday September 9 5-8 Sunday September 16 5-8 Sunday September 23 5-7 - The 5pm time is booked so far. *If you are one of my VIP clients your price is different so please message me if you want to book a spot* Mini sessions will be $190 ($60 non-refundable retainer to reserve your date and time) you will receive an edited gallery to choose your favorite 8 images to get your gallery in high resolution. If you love more than 10 images you may select more, the cost is $10 per additional image or the option to purchase your full gallery for an additional $120) Most of my galleries sent for your viewing include 30-75 images to choose from. I will be creating an event page for these as well to keep track of who is booked in at what time. Your time will be reserved for 24 hrs until reservation fee is received.

Winter months are for working on things I never have time to during the busy summers and this winter I spent a few months putting together this 102 page wedding and engagement session guide for my couples. Film sessions in the winter are so dreamy!!

Getting workshop stuff put together already! I'm super excited! Only 4 spots left for The Process (Editing) one and 5 left for the Get Off Auto one. I limit my workshops to a max of 6 to keep it small and intimate with lots of room for productivity.... and it makes buying gifts for my attendees easier :)

I have been getting asked a lot about my family session dates for this summer.... I LOVE these sessions and cannot wait to have more, however, I won't be announcing dates just yet as so far all of my 2018 weddings are out of town which means I will be traveling a lot this summer. As soon as I know which dates I will be home for a solid week I will announce those dates :) I may open up a day for the beginning of June for family minis but July and August will be announced in about a month or two. Thanks SO much I love that I have so many families that have trusted me over the years and kept me busy!
