I wanted to share why I tend to lean towards black and white when I shoot concerts aside from liking the esthetic. Without going into too much detail, it's because of the lighting setup that some of the venues have. While it may look good to the human eye, our cameras won't see it the same way we do and potentially blows out one or more of the colour channels in the image. This is an example of what intense red lighting will do to an image. Both are converted straight from raw to jpeg with no editing other than a black and white conversion.
