Good day everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and summer is here! Just a brief update on the floral side of things as business resumes and we continue to receive positive news on the Covid front. Unfortunately Covid is still an issue in many parts of the world including South America where much of the florals come from. Due to curfews in many of the grower communities, there isnt the manpower available to sustain the farms thus....shortage of flowers e...specially roses. This being said, for the next 4-8 weeks there will be a limited selection of roses available. As well, cargo flights coming from growers nationally and internationally are still limited therefore availability is also limited. The pandemic has had world wide impact which created a challenging environment for the floral industry. Canadian growers have now had extra demand on them, however growing crops isnt an overnight process it takes months. This has also put a strain on our local wholesaler, Avon Valley, who have gone above and beyond to accommodate us and their employees through this crises. I love flowers and you love flowers and the last few months have certainly created a new appreciation for every petal that comes and leaves the shop. I hope our international growers will be able sustain themselves in the coming months as many have closed early into the pandemic due to inability to send their commondities around the world. Lets keep our fingers crossed for them and please understand fresh product is still in limbo and Im doing the best I can to provide selection and the quality you come to expect from Daniels Flower Shop. As for now, my hours will still be reduced until further notice. Thank you for supporting local and your patience!

Some very wise words for all of us Read this if you plan on going to a restaurant that has outdoor seating & serving food... 1. Dont run your server. Try your best to ask for everything you need at once. Remember its going to be a long walk from the street into the building for more water or anything else. Help us out by asking all at once 2. No mask jokes or your views on them. The server has to wear it. They have no choice and really your opinion of them while youre eating not wearing one means nothing to them. 3. The server is wearing the mask to protect you and you have nothing on to protect them. Wash your hands. 4. You Eat....You Go.... Eat your meal. Have some drinks but please do not sit at a table all night unless you continue to spend money. These restaurants are working with very limited space. They cant afford for you to order 2 side salads and water and sit there 4 hours. Yes some people do that all the time. 5. Dont come out if your sick!! 6. Social distancing. Keep your kids at the table. Yes. Theyre cute but if they are running around they are getting too close to other people. 7. Cut everyone some slack. Everything may be a bit slow because this is basically a new job for everyone. Be kind. 8. Tip. They are going to be sweating wearing masks all to make a buck. Please treat them right and leave a decent tip. If you cant afford to tip you cant afford to go out. 9. Be pleasant. You should be happy. Youre finally out.!! 10. Realize that the staff is doing their best. 11. Remember you have 3 meals a day every day of your life. This is only one of them. Calm down and enjoy it! 12. Please share! Copy & Paste!
