Many people aren't as active as normal during Ontario's current stay at home order. RMTAO member Rob Haddow offers some great tips for maintaining mobility during isolation. https://rmtao.com/blog/maintaining-mobility-during-isolation

With the start of Ontario’s second Provincial Emergency and Stay-at-Home order in effect, should I be continuing my Massage Therapy treatment? Ontarians should be staying at home with the exception of essential trips like picking up groceries or going to medical appointments. As Regulated Health Professionals, RMTs are able to continue care, with caveats, at this time.... When is Massage Therapy Essential? Will my condition worsen without treatment (e.g. physical symptoms associated mental health, acute pain/injury, chronic unstable condition)? Am I likely to suffer acute, severe or imminent harm if treatment is delayed (e.g. unstable chronic condition, new symptoms requiring a physical exam)? Am I at high risk to experience severe outcomes if I contract COVID-19 (e.g. asthmatic, diabetes, immune compromised, over age 65)? If the risk of COVID-19 to the patient and RMT is higher than the expected benefit of treatment, your RMT should delay treatment until the community risk decreases. Massage Therapy also has three key factors associated with transmission. (The science is now clear that transmission is by aerosol, not just droplets): Close Contact Closed Spaces Prolonged Exposure We continue to implement all of our infection prevention and control guidelines to keep our clinic space as safe and well-ventilated as we can to minimize risk of transmission. Attached is the current stay-at-home document issued 12 Jan 2021. (We are on p25)
