Music is one of my preferred means of connecting with God/Source/Creation -- Whatever you prefer to call the universal force that exists simultaneously beyond, and, within ourselves. Whether creating or listening to music I am often taken to a realm outside the ordinary world, where infinite possibilities roam amidst the waves of sound. DJing is another way of connecting to music that allows one to be the creator and receiver at the same time. When choosing a song to play... out of the endless array of music out there, your connection to that track deepens to the point where you feel it as an extension of yourself. Merging one song to the next you create a journey made up of individual stories that have never been told in quite this way before. It’s an incredible thing. With this musical journey I intended to create a landscape for morning ritual. It opens with 20 mins of deep meditative waves, leading into 30 minutes of dynamic grooves that will open up the body and inspire movement. I encourage you to commit to this journey in its intended vision to really get the most out of this mix. While it does not necessarily have to be in the morning, whenever you do embark on this adventure just remember to say a prayer.
