Remember... tin cans, beverage take-out cups, milk jugs and cartons, plastic clamshells, plastic bottles, jugs and jars and their lids, spiral paper cans and lids, margarine tubs ... are all considered containers for recycling purposes. To see more, refer to my April 25 post.

July 4 marks the implementation of CRD's new recycling bylaw. Please remember to keep your trash separate from your recyclables.

Dan the Trash Man 03.08.2020

Starting in July, Dan the Trash Man can only deliver small quantities of recyclable materials with the trash to the landfill without paying big penalties. I would ask you to keep these items out of your trash, as removing it later may not be so desirable. If you seem to have recyclables in your trash on pickup day, it may be removed and left behind for pickup at another time. For a small fee, I will come for your recyclables once a month. Please call me at 250-302-8114... For more information about how to manage these materials, please view a post from April 25 on this page

After Dan the Trash Man recently offered recycling services, the Cariboo Regional District has felt at ease to enforce the rules about what is acceptable at the local Transfer Station. They have now passed a bylaw that states that they will impose hefty charges for any load that contains more than 10% recycling or other prohibited items. If you are a customer of Dan the Trash Man, you either have received, or will soon receive a notice about this. If you are not currently on our customer list, please contact us to view this notice.

Starting very soon Dan the Trash Man will be collecting recycling from customers who responded to our invitation from 2 months ago. If you also want recycling pickup, call 250-302-8114 for schedule and rates.
