Can I be honest with you? Last week, I received two separate messages from two different people on the same topic. One message was encouraging me to follow my path with my business coaching. The other message was to "helpfully" suggest that my political views and posts might alienate women from working with me. Why am I telling you this?... Because when you show up unapologetically in your life, in your business, in your message, and in your conviction, you attract the people who will fall in love with you The people who understand your mission, who support you, are your soulmate clients The people who operate from a place of fear, of offending people, will drift from your life, and that's OK What I learned is that it's ok to show up and be upfront, raw and authentic. Sometimes it can feel so vulnerable to share painful experiences but there is strength in conviction. I have been complacent and silent about the racial injustice and violence against the black community. I have felt helpless and frustrated as a bystander. I worry about my friends, especially those living in the US.... So in the spirit of taking action, I donated to various organizations but let me please tell you about one that is close to my heart. My friend Ivie Koy Gordon has been a tireless activist whose mission is as follows; "We approach the health and rights crises faced by transgender sex workers holistically using harm reduction, human rights principles, economic and social justice, along with a commitment to empowerment and pride in finding solutions from our own community." Her organization has saved many black transgender women from precarious and life-threatening situations around the world. One of my regrets of leaving NY was the inability to finish implementing the arts program. If you do nothing else today, donate to the fight for racial equality, make a phone call to your representative, asking for accountability, read a book that opens your eyes to white privilege, start a dialogue, support a friend, support a black-owned business, follow black photographers/editors/influencers/magazines, etc. If you willingly and knowingly remain ignorant, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. #BlackLivesMatter https://www.glitsinc.org/

As a photographer, it is so incredibly rewarding to hold space for someone in an intimate session like a boudoir photography photo shoot. it means creating an atmosphere where you are safe it means letting you know that all feelings and thoughts are welcome it means guiding you gently while you feel into your body and reclaim your confidence in your power... My mission is to have a catalytic impact on everyone I work with! More often than not, a woman has come into my studio expecting to feel more attractive or better about her body. An interesting effect of reclaiming your own power is that it seeps into every section of your life. What happens to some of my clients after they work with me? They feel so empowered they start a business to follow their dream They feel centred and grounded and noticed that strangers on the street smile at them they feel confident at work and even receive promotions and pay raises they realize how juicy and creative they are and go on to sit on the board of arts education, publish a book, exhibit at museums and galleries This is my WHY. I am a catalyst, I am an igniter, I am a cheerleader, I am a task mistress, I am an artist, I am a teacher. I want you to remember that there are no limits!
