Things are beginning to open up gradually and we continue to stay informed and on top of things regarding our practice requirements and the Courts' current operational models, which are continually evolving. We also incorporate the most recent health guidelines as required or suggested by Alberta Health Services. We are fully operational within our office with modifications that allow us to serve you remotely, by telephone or videoconferencing, or by appointment, when necessa...ry, with appropriate personal distancing measures. It has been an "interesting" three and a half months, and we will be taking a well-deserved little breather after Canada Day. Our office will be closed July 1st -July 5th, and will be open for regular business hours on July 6th at 7:30 a.m. We are truly proud and lucky to be Canadian and wish you a wonderful Canada Day!

There is no doubt that the current COVID-19 concerns are creating challenges for all of us, both personally and professionally. We sincerely wish you all the best with any difficulties you may face, however, we also wish to reach out to you, as our valued clients, to address the professional challenges that we will or may experience during these difficult times. Initially, we are continuing with business as usual with obvious alterations to particular parts of that model.... For example, we are currently restricting office appointments and shall consider such appointments on a case by case basis, however, at this time, we will be scheduling telephone appointments whenever possible. With the current advancements in technology, we are fortunately able to conduct most of our business electronically and we shall continue to do so going forward. Although the way our services are usually delivered may be slightly out of the ordinary for the time being, we will continue to strive to provide you with competent and effective legal service. We feel that being a small office equipped with the above noted technology will keep us in a great position to continue to effectively assist our clients. Please bear in mind that some aspects of our practice are out of our control, such as in-person Court applications. Currently, both the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta have essentially restricted Court applications; For example, hearings shall not be proceeding for the time being, and we are not certain as to a date when that system will be reinstated. That being said, many of the Court desk processes will continue forward, as far as we know. What this means is that I believe that we will, in most cases, be able to keep moving matters ahead effectively. So, we just wanted to let you know that we are here, we will continue to be so, and we will strive to provide you with the best possible legal services that we are able.
