We DaPoPo folx are busy reimagining our third annual Not Quite Burns Night with a vegan haggis cook-along, poems, songs, & more as "HEART BURNS", scheduled for Saturday, February 13th on, well, not quite at all Burns Night, and Not Quite Valentine's Day, either. And (to follow COVID safety guidelines!) we will be live-streaming on Zoom, or some comparable platform. We make live theatre because theatrical creation models a perfect community, in which each person labours according to their skills and strengths, in community with others, for the benefit of all as the saying goes, a troupe is only as strong as its weakest link; we make theatre because the act of mindful and careful creation reveals the poetics of the heart; and we make theatre because, in the stories we tell, we reflect the world in all of its imperfections, in the hope of positive change. #BeSceneNS #lightuplive #Iamlivetheatre #Iamlivevents
We are very excited for this one!
