These golf and baseball cookies went out the door before Christmas to be used as a gift for a sport loving kiddo - I had a lot of fun making these. World Wildlife Day is March 3rd, 2021, and I have teamed up with @unamourpatisserie, once again, to host a collaboration in honour of the occasion. This year, the theme is "sustaining all life on Earth". Kristin and I have a goal, once more, to raise funds (this time for @wwf) and awareness through this collab for all wildlife - fauna and flora. With our world evolving at such an exponential speed, many of these wild species fight for the opportunity to survive and thrive. W...e should take the opportunity to highlight them! Today is the #rusticholidaycollab and I decided to do something I haven't done since I was a child - full on sprinkle cookies!! It was, honestly, a little weird to be cutting out cookies that weren't going to be decorated and dressed up with royal icing. I have fond memories of using this method with my mother and brother during the holidays growing up. A simple glaze is all these cookies get before being loaded up with sprinkles. This weekend is also the #flavourbakecollab hosted by the fantastic @theaccidentalcaker and @criticalcupcakeunit. This month we were given blackberry and rhubarb to choose from... and while I would have loved to do some rhubarb bakes, I haven't found any nice enough looking stalks in town, (if you have some to share, hmu) so... BLACKBERRY COBBLER - YUM. I've never actually had blackberry cobbler before - but I'll be making it A LOT more... I may even do a fusion bake with it ...in a few weeks.
