I know Halloween will be a look a little different this year but we can still make it fun, while staying safe. Ive been thinking about different ways to do this and I need your opinions!! If theres enough interest I would love to put on a socially distanced, covid safe Halloween Party!! It would be outdoors (location TBD), clients would book in a time to arrive so we can maintain social distancing, everyone would get their photo taken in their Halloween costume, choose... a pumpkin & get a trick-or-treat bag! We can do prizes for best dressed child, family... pet?! Let me know your thoughts below, if you would attend or what other amazing ideas you had in mind!

Newborns on a white backdrop will forever be my favourite. They also make the most perfect black & white portraits.

Heres a quick behind the scenes video of the editing that goes into each newborn portrait. FYI I swear my blankets are usually pulled back much neater ... but I travelled to a clients home for this session and there was no room in my car for my newborn stand. So, we made due with my regular stand. Thank goodness for photoshop!

I have a family session booked from 5:15-6:00 pm so I can make time for a family or maternity session before (4:15 pm) or after (6:15 pm). I need 2 families to help model a couple sets for promo shots. 1) Family with a 1-1.5 year old (any gender) and 2-3 year old (girl). Must be available on Monday, September 7th at 4 pm. 2) Family with 2-3 children (any gender), kids must be old enough to walk. Must be available Wednesday September 9th at 6:30 pm Models must be willing to follow wardrobe suggestions. You will receive digital images for your time. Todays newborn session was a dream! I travelled to the clients home and they had the most gorgeous bedroom. So perfect for family shots. Cant wait to start editing... Also I never get behind the scene shots so Im super excited I get to share these!!

Loved this white floral boho theme!! Secret... I used to dislike cake smashes (dont know why ), and I didnt even advertise them on my website. But August has been FULL of custom cake smashes, and I can now say with confidence that I LOVE them!! Its so much fun creating a clients vision. Next week we have a Cookie Monster theme cake smash...

Today is National Rainbow Baby Day! In honour of today I wanted to share a story of one of my friends/clients that touched me deeply. I had the honour of photographing baby Cruz, their rainbow baby earlier this month and I was able to surprise them with this composite image!! Baby Cruz on one side and his angel brother, Diego on the other. Connected by a beautiful rainbow. ... Here is their story from their mom: Rainbow babies are often described as miracle babies due to the powerful impact they can have on helping parents heal after a loss. October of 2018 my partner and I got pregnant with our first son. We prepared ourselves for a beautiful baby boy for 8 months. Finally, we were at the homestretch. We were in the last month of the pregnancy, June 2019 is when we received the most devastating news of our lives. My placenta had abrupted and we lost our son. We cant find his heart beat. It felt worse than a knife to the heart. This is no news any parent should have to ever hear. Diego is his name, and all though we experienced much trauma, physical and mental pain we will live on with his name and carry him in our hearts in every adventure we encounter for the rest of our lives. I truly believe hes with us in spirit. On July of 2020 he sent us his baby brother Cruz. Our rainbow baby. Thank you Diego for sending us your brother. You taught us to love deeper than ever imagined! We promise to give Cruz the best life humanly possible. - Gabriela F Feel free to share!

Love love love this location. So magical. Did you know we provide wardrobe for each maternity session! I love hunting down the perfect outfit. This time we rented from the lovely Bobbypins Curiosities. This kimono + slips were so versatile. I loved it, client loved it, husband loved it... SUCCESS!

I finally finished editing my own family portraits! Here are some of my favourites. Im surprised at how well these turned out since it was my first attempt at setting up my tripod and using a remote on my phone to take the photos! It was tricky hiding my big bulky phone.

We are opening back up for NEWBORN bookings starting July 15th!! Weve always kept our studio clean and sanitized as our clients safety has always been our top priority, but here are some extra measures we have put into place: Only 1 parent/guardian will be allowed in our home studio. All family sessions will still take place outdoors. ... You must remove shoes before entering. You must wash your hands as soon as you enter and before you leave. A mask must be worn at all times. Children do not need to wear a mask. I will regularly use hand sanitizer throughout the session. All clients will be booked a minimum of 24 hours apart and all props/accessories/outfits ect. will be sanitized after each session. We will no longer offer snacks and drinks during sessions. Please bring your own water or snacks. Now with that out of the way... I am so excited to snuggle newborns again!! AVAILABILITY: July is almost fully booked! 1 spot available.
