What started off as a maternity/lifestyle shoot quickly morphed into this adorable little lady stealing the show. At one stage while I was photographing them she said to her parents, "I love our family" and my heart just about burst. She is about to become a big sister to twins and those babies have hit the sister, and parent, jackpot. I cant wait to go back for their newborn shoot. A short film to complement an in-home family lifestyle shoot

This family was truly something special to photograph. They did not want a bunch of posed, everybody smiling at the camera in khakis and polos type shots. They wanted a true reflection of the season they are in right now, the good and the bad, the love and the tantrums. The way they parent their kiddos with such tenderness, compassion, patience and humour was what I hoped to capture at this in home lifestyle shoot. This has to be one of my favourite way to shoot families, especially for the first time. It was also my second time attempting to do both images and a small video at the same time. The video is far from perfect but the more I do these the more I see their value. Images are amazing, but there is nothing quite like hearing the giggles and the sweet phrases that are so easily forgotten as your babes grow.

Maternity shoots can be whatever you want them to be! In the comfort of your own home (or renovation site in this case), at a particular location, fully clothed or fully nude. Bookings for spring and summer are available.

This lifestyle shoot has to be one of my all time favourites. Shooting in the comfort of your home means I get to capture who you are as a family and the kids take little, if no time, to show their true selves because Im on their turf. As much as I loved living in Australia, more than words could ever describe, the Christmas season never felt right. The lack of family, the 40 degree weather, and the fake trees always left me feeling empty around this time of year, so you can imagine my excitement for all things festive... starting with the cutting down of our very first family Christmas tree!

This morning was one I have dreamt about since we decided to make the move back to Canada and it did not disappoint.
