I am writing to let you know about an opportunity to add to your art collection and do something wonderful at the same time. Area artists have donated works of art for an online auction to support Christine Maclean, Kevin's Maclean’s wife, who has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. In case you don’t know the Macleans, Kevin is a friend and an oddment artist who lived in Creemore and Collingwood until they moved to Halifax last year. Kevin was one of the founding members o...f the Mad and Noisy gallery when it was an artist's collective. Christine is a psychotherapist whose compassion and empathy has helped many of us through troubling times. Now it’s time to help 'Heal the Healer'. Although Christine’s diagnosis is very serious, there are promising treatment options available outside of Canada and Kevin has started a Gofundme page (https://www.gofundme.com/f/christine-maclean-help-heal-the-) which, to date, has raised $25,000, fifteen percent of the amount they will need. We want to double that amount. We want to bring hope to our dear friends, Christine, Kevin and their two girls and let them know that we have them in our hearts.
