Such a great evening out exploring Kakabeka Falls with these two. Ending the night in an abandon school bus was the cherry on top for me.

It was hot & humid but a solid adventure with Kevin & Courtney!

I had a such a blast with these two this evening! Adventures, mosquitos, views, laughter, plunging into Lake Superior. It was a solid evening through & through.

Its evenings like this that get me so excited for engagement shoots & day after shoots with the lovely couples I get to work with!

This week I really wanted to get out before sunrise, to have some time to explore & document McKellar Island. The morning did not disappoint & I was reminded of my love to wake up & force myself out of bed before the sun rises.

Anyone else pumped about that summertime heat just around the corner?

Nothing I love more then seeing my city in the rear view mirror & adventuring deep into the countryside with my couples. It was an absolute joy & blessing to get out with these two.

The Glorious Sunshine

During wedding season, Gracie & I usually end up working a number of weddings together which is always a delighted treat. Weddings dont typically allow a lot of down time to have good in depth chats & so getting together to collaborate on a shoot outside of a wedding day was so wonderful. Looking forward to more of these. A big thanks to Keanna for modeling.

Nothing but love

I'm overwhelmed with excitement for the landscape that surrounds this part of the country. When given the chance, it's always my goal to share that excitement, that's constantly overflowing, with the couples I get to work with.

Just daydreaming about the adventures that lay ahead in 2020 with the couples I'm beyond blessed to work with.

It doesn't matter the location, there's always this little voice in my head, wondering how I can make the location feel like it could be anywhere. This is especially true when shooting in very public places. This day was no different.

I don't know what it is about winter blizzards but they fill my heart with so much joy & excitement for adventure. If you're the adventurous type, what fuels your desire to get out & explore!?

As a parent, I want our kids to know that their Mama & Papa will always be there for them, this also means encouraging them with things they're passionate about. Our 2 year old has been so passionate about the moon as of late. He asks to see it almost daily once it gets dark outside, he asks to see it when he wakes up in the morning. I don't know if one day he'll be an astronomer but while he has this deep love for the moon, I want to encourage this love. Tonight we pushed bedtime back, Mama made hot chocolate for everyone & we headed out of town to stargaze. Even though it was a moonless night, it was an awestruck time for all, taking in all the stars.

I don't know what it is but winter brings an excitement & joy for adventure that the summer months just can't touch for me. It feels like the further the temperature plummets into the negatives, the greater my thirst to get out & adventure is. In the 16 years I've called northwestern Ontario home, I still find myself blown away by its beauty, i absolutely love that it never gets old. I have found myself humbled & in awe of the beauty that surrounds Thunder Bay lately. It has ...also given me this new passion for Manitoba & a desire to explore the province, which I grew up in. There's an overwhelming amount of places in this world that can leave us all feeling jealous & unappreciative of the places we call home, well at least that's how I feel at times. I've learned that sometimes you just need to dig a little deeper & it's amazing the gems that will show themselves. One thing I really want to do in 2020, is explore more than I ever have, especially with my family. I want to teach & show my kids the amazing area we live in & all the adventures that are endlessly waiting for us. See more
