Daventry Equestrian

21 years ago on February 7, 2000, Stuart Little was rescued from a kill pen when he was 8 years old. We purchased him as a potential resale pony. He was super sweet and a fast learner. We only had him for 5 months before he went off to his new home in the U.S., but in that time, he stole our hearts. When we taught him lead changes, he decided they had to be auto. When we allowed a kid to show him for the first time in the hunters, he decided he had to be Champion. Stormy eve...ntually came back to us for retirement and is 29 years old this year. I don't know about you, but we think he looks better now than the day he arrived at our farm back in the year 2000 (photos included). We have a "Welcome Home" policy for all horses & ponies that we have bred, sold or are sired by any of our stallions. Should an owner ever find themselves in unfortunate circumstances or a horse or pony is in need of retirement, they may be returned to our farm at any time.

Congratulations to Zoe and past sales graduate Daventry's Emerald City (Alvesta Picasso x Goldhills As You Like It). They were Reserve Champions in the Children's Large Hunter Pony division yesterday at Old Salem.

Congratulations to Blue Satin Poppy by Alvesta Picasso on winning the Large Green Pony Hunter Championship at the Winter Premier in South Carolina and their Reserve Championship at the Atlanta Winter Classic. Blue Satin Poppy is out of the Thoroughbred mare Winsahm Bay.

Not to be outdone by his mom, Goldhills As You Like It, over the weekend, past sales graduate Daventry's Emerald City (by Alvesta Picasso) and Zoe had a successful weekend showing in the Large Children's Hunter Pony division at Old Salem, including winning the hack.
