Hand pies Ingredients: 3 cups Pie filling of choice... Pie pastry of choice (pilsbury for the win, props to you if you make it yourself ) I use 1.5 cups apple and 1.5 cups blueberry filling 1Preheat oven to 425F 2 Roll pie pastry out to 1/4 inch thickness. Use back of sandwich sealer to cut 24 rounds of pastry. Cut a hole in 12 of the rounds, using the star shape on the outer top of the Sealer if desired. 3 Flour the crimped edges of the inside of the sealer. Place a round of part with no hole in the bottom. Push pastry gently in the center to form a pocket. 4 Spoon 1.5 TBSP of filling onto pastry. Top with pastry round with hole (Do not overfill your pies, they will burst during baking. 1.5-2 TBSP of filling) 5 Gently, but firmly squeeze the sealer shut. Trim off the excess pastry while closed. 5 Open up sealer and gently remove pie. 6 Place on baking sheet or the cover of the Ultra Pro lasagna pan. 7 Repeat 1-6 8 Bake at 425F for 18-20 minutes Cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the fridge. Keeps for 4-6 days. Pies freeze well. Makes 12 hand pies.
