Jason is right. I've always found the most important prerequisites for public office to be hard work, humility, and an ability to understand your constituents.

The news that Kinder Morgan has suspended construction on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion comes as a blow, if not a shock, after Energy East and Northern Gateway. We clearly need a government that won't roll over when faced with opposition in Ottawa or Victoria.
