Due to COVID-19 restrictions, and in keeping everyone's social bubble as safe as can be, we decided to forego an in person presentation of the donation to Paws Fur Thought this year, but it is heartwarming to know that support can still be provided during these pandemic times. This past week - I dropped off my annual Paws Fur Thought donation at the Royal Canadian Legion Nunavut Command. The $2,000 donation this past week is thanks to clients who placed their trust in me t...o help sell their homes and to find the home of their dreams. Their trust in me has allowed this 26 year Navy veteran to help veterans who suffer from PTSD and who benefit greatly with the companionship of a specially trained PTSD service dog which takes up to 2-3 years to train and costs between $7,000-$10,000 or more, and is not covered by medical benefits. This trust from my real estate clients over the past 3 years has to date generated $7,000 worth of donations from me in support of Paws Fur Thought to provide specially trained service dogs to Veterans suffering with PTSD. #GivingBack #PawesomeProperty #PawsFurThought #WoundedWarrior #VeteransHelpingVeterans

30 years ago today (1990)... Sailing into the unknown! What a send off!! This week, I was able to give back with another donation this year to Paws Fur Thought for $2,500 making total donations to date of $3,700 - made possible solel...y through the help of pawsome clients, friends, family and acquaintances who have referred folks to me for their real estate needs this past year. Did you know that one service dog can cost between $5,000 to $15,000 & take up to 3 years to train, and that such dogs are funded solely by charitable donations?
