Hello Everyone, The past few days may have been a busy time for many in the district of Mount Pearl North with the changes in weather, the announcement of the provincial election and the Liberal Nomination. As you might have heard, Lucy Stoyles has received the official nomination as the Liberal Candidate for Mount Pearl North.... Thank you for taking the time to read and learn about what I have to offer within the district. Thank you for believing in me and engaging in the political process. Thank you to the volunteers who shared the vision I have, who then helped bring that to the district with countless phone calls, emails, and neighbourly physically distanced visits. Thank you to the Liberal Party for this opportunity and to Lucy, a strong representative for Mount Pearl North. I wish her all the best. It has been a blessing for me to enter this process, and receive your support, and start to get to know so many of you a little better. I thank you for your willingness to listen and to consider me as a possible candidate in the district. The days ahead for me are about taking time and space to see how I will continue to engage within the community. As you know, I work hard to bring change for individuals and the entire community, so that we might be our best. I'm committed to holding up the vision I put forward as a nomination candidate and for me, that means my next step is taking time to consider how to best serve my community. I want to make space to listen and care for people in our province and will continue to do so in my work to eliminate poverty, address issues of food security, and uphold human dignity. I look forward to continuing this work together and do not hesitate to drop me a line! David

It has been my privilege to join with others to found Home Again, serve as chair of the board, and executive director. Together this wonderful team has done so much to eradicate furniture poverty here in Mount Pearl, and across the Northeast Avalon.

The nomination vote for Mount Pearl North will be from 12-5 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2021. 12-1 will be a special voting hour for anyone with a compromised immune system, high risk medical conditions, mobility issues, or anyone requiring additional supports. The vote will be taking place at the Mount Pearl Park Place Community Centre (Lower Level) 61 Park Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 1J4 Members and supporters must be signed up 12PM Thursday, January 14th.
