Back by popular demand. (Well, they didn't say don't come back.) I'll be singing my fool head off at The Thornhill Pub this Friday and Saturday nights. Different bass and keys both nights but all involved are killer players. Steve Farugia on drums both nights. He's really good, too.

Last Saturday at the Rex was a total gas. I could barely move in there. Swing Shift is thrilled to be performing an evening Sinatra and Basie classics for your dining and dancing pleasure at The Old Mill this Saturday night. Doors open at 6:30 for dinner and the band kicks it into high gear at 8:00.

It's that time of year again. That time of year when I make several attempts to invite people to my birthday spectacular and fail persistently until a few days before the show. I'll be letting it all hang out with the incredible Swing Shift Little Big Band as part of the gallery's First Friday event that takes place each month. Not only will this be an exciting show but it's also day 1 of my birthday weekend. Time for an update. Last Saturday at The Rex was fantastic. We played some new stuff and I didn't screw it up. We also raised a pile of money for Head For A Cure. The one stop jazz safari Thursday night at Lula Lounge was crazy nuts. I know it's always going to be great but I'm surprised every time. Met David Clayton Thomas. What a voice. I may have had the best gig of my life on Sunday night. My throat was shredded from the night before and I felt panic when I noticed we were doing FOUR sets. That's a lot even on a good night. With the help of the incredible Kimberly Wetmore and Nathan Whitley we kept them on the dance floor to the last note. But don't take my word for it. Dig this Gigmasters review.
