Hi Everyone! With the announcement on April 29th, Massage Therapy in Manitoba is included in Phase 1 - Restoring Services. Exciting news to share! I’ve had time to put together new policy and procedures by following the guidelines requirements under public health orders. I will be returning to work Monday, May, 4th.... At this time I will be booking my appointments with more time in between to allow proper surface disinfecting and to avoid appointment overlapping. I will be using the COVID-19 Screening Tool questions prior to your appointment by text, email or phone call the day before or the day of. Arriving for your appointment I’m asking you to stay in your car and wait till the time of your appointment to come in or wait for me to text you. I will have hand sanitizer (meets Health Canada’s Requirements) for you upon entering and leaving my office. If you have a mask and want to wear it during your massage please bring it with you. I will also be wearing one when needed. COVID-19 Screening Tool Here are the questions that will be ask prior to your appointment. 1. Do you have new onset of any of the following symptoms: Fever Cough sore throat shortness of breath/breathing difficulties, poor feeding (if an Infant) 2. Do you have new onset of two or more of the following symptoms: Runny nose Muscle aches Fatigue Loss of Smell or Taste Headache Hoarse Voice Nausea, Vomiting or Diarrhea for more than 24 hours If the patient answers yes to any of the symptoms in question 1 or 2 or more of the symptoms in question 2, refer the individual to Health Links for further assessment and possible testing (204-774-6581). Advise the patient can call back to reschedule as soon as they can confirm that they are no longer symptomatic/do not need to self-isolate. If the patient answers no to all of the above questions, then confirm the appointment as scheduled. The health and safety of my patients and myself is very important. If you are experiencing a fever, sore throat, or any respiratory symptoms, please reschedule your appointment for when you are no longer symptomatic. There will be no cancellation fee applied.
