My friends, in this New Year we are being asked to go within and listen to the seat of our soul, our heart, as we navigate who we want to be as individuals and as a collective. Many of us know that we must focus on loved based actions towards ourselves and others however very few of us are successful at it. I came across this quote a few days ago and it very much spoke to me...our beliefs about ourself and how much love we deserve will directly impact how much love we... receive...which will directly impact the love we are able to freely give to others. You are a divine soul, a spark of the creator and you are so worthy of receiving as much love as you give out. That’s a HUGE statement that many, myself included, struggle with. It’s so much easier to love others, to see their worthiness and honour it than it is to do the very same thing to ourselves. The ego is a powerful force that wants to keep you safe, it wants to keep things constant and predictable so that we are assured of our well being. It will often discourage you to see your true gifts and beauty as that may lead you to make choices that are risky or encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. The ego does this by pointing out our perceived flaws, has us dwelling on our past mistakes and painful memories so we stay stuck in past energies which damages our self worth and keeps us locked into the safe zone of life. This morning I remind you that you cannot be that change you wish to see in the world, you cannot attain the job, the relationship or the lifestyle you so desire without loving yourself and believing in yourself enough to take a risk and accept you are worthy of that and so much more. Plant the seed of love towards yourself today, nurture it through thoughtful and mindful living, celebrate your strengths and forgive yourself and others for the past moments that caused you pain or suffering. You deserve love and joy and that can only be achieved by seeing yourself as the creator does...a light so bright, so beautiful, so POWERFUL that nothing can stop you.
