Just a reminder, traffic delays on #BCHwy1 and Shuswap Ave. can be expected due to road construction activities in #ChaseBC. Daytime blasting is scheduled between November 16th and November 30th, which will result in 20-minute road closures. Blasts will occur between 9:00am 3:00pm. Prior to each blast, a sweep of the affected area shall be conducted to ensure that no members of the public are present.... Blasts will be signaled by 12 toots on an air horn 2 minutes prior to each blast. One long toot on the air horn will signal that the blasting is all clear. Dawson Civil started excavating in Chase, B.C. recently, in preparation for the expansion of the Trans-Canada highway. The project, which is scheduled to be completed near the end of 2022, will see the 3.3 kilometre section widened to four lanes from Chase to Hoffmans Bluff, west of Kamloops. Additional works include the installation of intersections, cattle underpasses and frontage roads. Currently, we are asking travelers to slow down to 80 kilometres per hour when trav...elling through and have scheduled single-lane alternating traffic for the next three days, as we work to create a temporary detour. More updates will come as the project progresses.

Dawson Civil has completed the sewer and water infrastructure work at the multi-street intersection of Fourth Street East, Townley Street and Victoria Road in #Revelstoke. Crews are currently preparing for cement curbs and gutters to be poured, then will be moving on to paving and prepping for sidewalks and landscaping. This project which began at the end of April, is set to be completed in the fall. More updates will come as the project progresses.
