Just a wee reminder to all....
Huge shoutout to the Gambler 500 BC ! They donated T-Shirts to us to help us raise money, especially after a hard year for fundraising due to Covid-19. To start they donated $300 right away! Then announced the rest of the T-shirts were going by donation to us! The events "Gamblers" didn't disappoint! We raised an additional $400 with a grand total of $700!! How incredible is that?! We are beyond thankful for this donation and to be selected as the beneficiary this year! Our... Park Manager Miranda Rizzi attends the Gambler 500 BC events every year, by now if you haven't heard of the Gambler 500 you're probably wondering what is it? The Gambler 500 Rally is a mostly off-road Rally-Style (not a race) Navigational Adventure using cheap, impractical or fun vehicles to run through the country and pick up trail trash. Every year the Gambler 500 BC group for organizers donates the communities they run in, haul away tons of trail trash is filled seacans and always helps out their own Gamblers as proven here! Please show them your support by giving them a like on their page and picking up some trail trash when you see it. Below is a youtube link for a better understanding of this amazing event and even more amazing people. If you're interested in the t-shirts we have Xl and XXL left by donation! Can ship anywhere! Donations can be accepted by E transfer to [email protected] Thank you again Gambler 500 BC! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vDi5dVH0iuc
Reminder: if your dog gets into a scuffle at the dog park you MUST remove your dog immediately. Also, if your dog is going after another dog please get control of your dog immediately. In the event this happens you must muzzle your dog until you are confident that your dog is confident around other dogs. Everyone needs to feel safe at the park so we must work together to make it happen :)
FYI everyone apparently the dog fighting has started up again in Dawson Creek! Rcmp are aware of it. 3 dogs went missin from rd 187 Tupper last night!! Be on the look out around Tomslake and Tupper area. It’s white Ford F-150 with a white topper! Keep your eyes open please!!
We are having a Tupperware fundraiser!! 40% of select sales go to the Dawson Creek Dog Park Society!! Please contact Rhonds Pohl or us and we can pass on the order!
Our 2020 calendars are ready!!! $20 each! We accept EMT or cash at pick up. EMT to [email protected] Pick up available at Pet Valu
I guess we forgot to mention the price of the Dogs Of Dawson Calendars. They will be $20.00 a piece and of course the proceeds go to the Dawson Creek Dog Park Society. Please give us another week to get them in.
Dogs Of Dawson Calendar Update: If your dog(s) won a spot in the Calendar please let us know how many calendars you would like. We are trying to get rough estimate how many we should order. We were going to order 50 to start and as of tonight there are 30 spoken for. Amazing!!!
This basket was reported to been filled with sticks. We understand the intention behind bringing sticks into the park for the dogs to play with is a good one however it makes it very complicated when we are getting the lawn mowed and can pose a hazard to owners and their pets. Thanks for your understanding!
Congratulations April on winning the Toonie Toss fundraiser!!! This was such a fun event! Thank you to everyone that supported the park today! A special thank you to Jon, Ali and Anna for volunteering your time!
PLEASE READ: Please leash your dog while walking to the park. There have been reports that people are letting their dogs roam in the field. School is now back in and it is important we work with the school to prevent any further complaints. Some children are afraid of dogs and we have to make sure we do our due diligence It is important we follow the bylaws otherwise we jeopardize the use of the park. We understand that your pooch might be perfectly behaved but everyone must leash their dog regardless. No more off-leash while walking across the field please. Thank you everyone for your support.
