38 . . My first thought ... gross .... . My second thought ... how is this even possible? I remember my parents at this age. I’m so much younger and cooler than they were??!! . . My 3rd, 4th thoughts... . . What a life! How lucky am I?! . . This has been a wild year. An actually insane year. Crazy and impossible to believe the things that have happened. Some challenging and some incredible! . . I’m grateful for every minute of it. I say this in one of my talks - the life I have today is something that I’m not even sure I was brave enough to dream as a 16 year old who was newly in a wheelchair. . . That teenager was terrified and had a very long road ahead to figure out this new life. . . Little by little, I figured each step out. It wasn’t over night and it wasn’t a straight line but every day I worked toward happiness and joy. . . The tools look like gratitude, friendship, hard work, love and acceptance. . . The hugest thank you for the birthday wishes, the love and support every day and for being my cheerleaders. I have the absolute best Instagram community and I love being here with all of you! . . I’ll be celebrating my birthday all month. That’s how I do it now! . . I will admit that 37 was so awesome that I’m sad to say goodbye! Inner city living at its finest! . . This man cave needed an overhaul. The best thing about this space is that it was essentially concrete floors and beige walls. A Blank canvas. .... . Client Wishlist... . . It needed to be masculine, warm, inviting, multi-functional and use art, artifacts, antiques and memories that the homeowner had gathered from a lifetime of collecting. . . We used old photographs family members took as large scale art, old news paper articles about grandpa from when he was an NYPD officer, his Dad’s geology tools, an a rogue piano and hutch and even his star wars collection! . . I’m obsessed with the blend of all of the things and I couldn’t be happier to have worked with this amazing client! . .
