Today, we join all Nova Scotians in paying tribute to those who have died or been injured at work. We ask that you observe a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m. A message from Stuart Maclean, CEO, WCB Nova Scotia.
On April 28th, the National Day of Mourning, we honour the lives lost and forever changed by a workplace injury, illness, or death. Every workplace tragedy caus...es an outward ripple of grief, loss, and hardship - to the worker, family, friends, co-workers, first responders, and the greater community. Every one is one too many. If you feel moved to do so, you're invited to share a photo of your loved one below. See their faces. Say their names. Feel the loss each of these families has experienced when their loved one walked out the door to go to work, and came back a different person -- or not at all. And if you've experienced a workplace tragedy and are looking for support, please do send a direct message. We'd love to hear how you're doing and we can share what we can offer in support. #DayofMourning
