With My Own Two Hands Cover - Sarah Hoy & DCAC Uke Camp Students Digital Creative Arts Centre presents our very own cover of With My Own Two Hands originally written and recorded by Ben Harper. We are so grateful to have hosted five instalments of Free Virtual Ukulele Camp taught by Sarah Hoy during this past Summer 2020. ... Each week campers learned Ben Harpers tune With My Own Two Hands. While the song introduces the students to the Em chord and a reggae strumming pattern, Ms. Hoy chose this song for not only its potential to teach students new ukulele skills but also to share the message of the song. Especially during this strange time that were living through I wanted the students to know they could make a difference in their own lives and those around them with their own two hands. This little instrument has the potential to uplift you or transform a bad day by simply strumming a couple chords Hoy explains. Ms. Hoy recorded the students performing Harpers tune each week and visited sound engineer, Jay Panaseiko at @Studio 73 to record the tune. With the permission of students and parents we present to you our video montage of With My Own Two Hands.
