Today, we pause in silence to pay tribute to all who gave their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace. It is an opportunity for all Canadians to recognize the contribution our members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Veterans have made. DCC has a long history of collaboration with the Canadian military that will continue to ensure the safety and security of all Canadians. Photo: DCC employee in Shilo in 1996.

On October 23, DCC employees Todd Nauss and Kelly Marchand attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the CT scanner at Stadacona Hospital, where they each received the Canadian Forces Health Services Centre Atlantic Commanding Officer’s Commendation for their support to its installation. The duo did tremendous work alongside the Canadian Armed Forces in just two weeks in June to ensure there was a home at the Stadacona Hospital for the new CT scanner. Great work!

DCC has developed new methods to involve Indigenous businesses in our work, including a database of Indigenous firms that operate in construction and related sectors. In addition, DCC is holding information and outreach sessions to help navigate the daunting task of working with the government for the first time. The sessions have already engaged participants in Yellowknife, Kingston, and Petawawa, with additional sessions in Cold Lake, Bagotville, Esquimalt and Gagetown to follow by year-end.
