Sorry we haven’t posted much over the last little while but we are all still here and surviving and slowly planning for the inevitable return of Edmonton Deadbycon. We will be back, we will be bigger and we will deliver a show that will scare you worse than a Karen at a grocery store not wearing a mask. Stay Tuned in 2021 for some news, until then, what’s your favourite holiday horror film. Mines either gotta be Black Christmas (original) or Santa’s Slay. Hey folks. Just a quick update on Brown Paper Ticket passholders. I reached out and made a complaint with Better Business Bureau in regards to Brown Paper Tickets not issuing refunds. This was my reply from Better Business Bureau. I do apologize but it appears that Brown Paper Tickets is ghosting everyone demanding money. Currently there are over 365 active complaints again BPT on Better Business website. Once again we never received a cent from Brown Paper Tickets. I am at ...a loss with what to do in regards to elevating this further. If we pursue legal action it will take a very long time and cost probably more than what needs to be refunded. But at the end of the day it’s the fans and customers that I want to keep happy. I want this event to continue in the future by any means. So going forth all tickets from Brown Paper tickets will be honoured at our next event and any fundraisers we have coming up in the future. On top of that is the following. Any single day pass holders from Brown Paper Tickets Will now be weekend pass holder at no extra charge. A second day on us. All weekend pass holders from Brown Paper Tickets Will now be upgraded to VIP pass holders for the next show. All those who purchased VIP passes through Brown Paper Tickets it will transferred to the next event with an added bonus that BPT VIP holders will get a special meet and greet at the next VIP party. Hope that helps with the issues that everyone has been going through. The Pandemic has affected everything everywhere. We will make it through this. To our devoted followers and fans of horror film culture, earlier today we received official word from our provincial government that would strike an unprecedented blow to our beloved festival. After rising to the challenge and taking every added precaution possible to heighten our safe operating practices, our team had to face a grueling reality. The order came in the form of a public announcement disallowing all events of 250 attendees or more from proceeding. Despite all ...efforts by this incredibly hardworking team over the past year, and our determination to still bring you an amazing show, we were now up against a government mandate. Before booking their flights home tonight, we had the opportunity to spend some time with Linnea Quigley and Marcia Karr, who did their very best to console us, and they asked that we send their love out to you tonight, Edmonton. Now onto the plan. This show was not built on the blood, sweat, and tears of people who give up easily. Your DEADbyCON team is already working and regrouping to bring you the show you deserve. As the end of this pandemic, and it's associated restrictions are as yet unknown, we are unable to pin point an exact date for our return. However, I can assure you that your pass purchases will 100% be honored if you choose to support the show and hold strong with us during this crazy time. The same assurance applies to our valued vendors. We ask that you consider the circumstances at hand, and that refunds will only slow the process of our return to action. We've already secured each of our celebrity guests assurances that they will return to DEADbyCON when we are ready; and we may even have a few more surprises to announce when the time comes... Over the past two and a half years since the start of this festival, I have witnessed firsthand the sense of community and love shared by our fans and supporters.
