The first time a hearing person was rude and said sorry. We accept it because he was honest to say sorry. He was not aware yet. But now, other people copied and are rude to interpreters and Deaf and post their videos. People saw the videos and many click to like it. The rude videos become popular. N...ow, many people make fun of interpreters and Deaf. But then, they say sorry again! What!? Even if they say sorry again we don’t accept it anymore because this has happened many times. And I don’t think any more apologies are not honest! You are just copying and making a habit of being always rude to Deaf people. Please stop it now! Interpreters in news are important to us Deaf. Because you hearing people are lucky that it easy for you to watch and hear the news. For us, Deaf? It is hard! Because we cant hear the news. What if interpreters are removed from news? How can we know the news? How can we know about the lockdown and other important things. We need to focus on the interpreter to get the news so we can be equal and know what government tells us like hearing people do. So dont make fun and acting like interpreters or faking to know sign lanaguage, ok? What if we changed places. You are Deaf and I am hearing. And then I make fun of sign language. What will you feel? Angry, hurt, correct? Also. What will you feel if many times, hearing people ignore you because they are busy watching or talking to others. That is very rude right? It is hard to be deaf when many hearing don’t understand us. So please be serious about interpreter and sign language. Because they are important to Deaf people! Many rude people have studied and graduated from different schools and universities. Your parents have paid high tuition fees to be professional. But they are still being stupid for not being respectful of Deaf culture. They must learn to respect not only hearing people but also to Deaf people and other PWDs. Thanks! See more
