This question is inspired by a post that came up in one of the fb makeup groups that I'm in . . . . How did you learn about makeup? Many women in the group first learned from their moms or grandmas; some taught themselves. For me, my first real lesson was from a pro ~ my godmother had given me a gift certificate for my 16th birthday to a local spa. Good Day, Beautiful Readers. Yesterday's post about plus-sized clothing generated a lot of engagement. We want to encourage you to embrace your body, whatever size it is. Confidence will make you happier than any diet ever will. #LoveYourBody

Sometimes, it's a real struggle to find fashionable plus-sized clothing. Recently, in helping out one of my clients, I came across an online store called Curvalicious Clothes (http://www.curvaliciousclothes.com/), that features fashion-forward clothing in sizes 0X (10/12) to 5X (30/32). They ship worldwide, but, have a flat-rate shipping fee of only $12 if you live in Ontario. If you're plus-sized, do you have a favourite store that you like to shop at? Do you find you're able to find your size in a "regular" shop, or, do you shop at speciality stores? Many department stores like The Bay have sizes up to 4X, but, larger sizes might be hard to come by, whereas a store like Penningtons has multiple items within a particular size. Good Morning, Beautiful Readers. Yesterday we asked, what was the worst fashion advice that you ever received. Today, we'd like to know, what was the best fashion advice that you ever received? For me, the best advice came sometime in my teens. I wore a lot of skirts and someone (can't remember who), advised me on the most flattering skirt length (hemline should hit the narrowest part of your leg). I believe I was wearing a lot of skirts which hit mid-calf, which for someone like me who already had very muscular calves, only made them look thicker. Knee-length skirts turned out to be the best for me.

Good Day, Beautiful Readers. We want to know ~ what's the worst fashion advice that you ever received? Sometimes friends, partners, salespeople, etc., are well meaning, but, don't really have a clue. In university, my roommate told me that I looked terrible in red and I believed her. For years I never wore red AND I LOVE red. Somehow I got over that and realized, that, yes, I do look good in red.
