After you were born, it took you almost a year to learn posture and how to use your core. You mastered movement and every physical challenge was exciting to you. You never ran out of energy and you recovered fast. All was good until learning in school began to progress you in society, which is important, but as a result of this you lost that connection you built with your body. You forgot posture and disconnected yourself from your core. Most adults or even young kids struggl...e to maintain good posture. If you are one of them, revisit your fitness goals and make this one a priority as all systems of the body depend on posture and core. We need to be in line with the laws and forces of the universe to feel aligned and stay healthy. Let's pass good posture and habits to the next generation. Posture is not optional. #torontopersonaltrainer #posture #alignment #aligned #peace #health #mobility

Poor posture contributes to many ailments that most people wish they didn't have to live with, but yet many choose not to work on improving their posture. We all on a subjective level understand why posture is important but objectively can't put in perspective how much of your life is being impacted by your posture. So how do we improve posture? ... Most commonly used answer is exercising which makes sense but the reality is that joints move the way they have adapted to move so for most people loading those sacred functional patterns just solidifys the dysfunction. Switching sitting to standing is another thing that makes sense on paper but in reality if you can't sit straight for a long time I argue you can stand straight for the same length of time. You will just get different pain feedback with this switch. In my experience of being a trainer and a therapist for over a decade I have come to a conclusion that understanding of your core and your breath is integral component to creating and maintaining structural tension aka good posture. So biggest take away from any exercise you do is the feeling of that structural tension which when applied can help you find alignment in any position. For example: when you do a goblet squat with even 10kg your CNS creates structural tension to maintain good form aka good posture. So take away from the squat is not the amount of weight you lifted and how many times you squated but is remembering the structural tension you felt during the squat and applying that tension to every position possible. With consistent focus you set new rules for your body to follow and your function starts to change. Our bodies are adapting to be better all the time and repeatedly need good stimulation to ensure changes in our function. I always say our bodies change when there is a need and it's up to us to create a need for good change. Good posture is every humans right and a privilege. You can't experience reality as is in the absence of your alignment with yourself and forces around you. Reach out if you need help #posture #alignment #function

Every breath enables us to move energy in our bodies. This energy is useful for regeneration, and to fuel our day to day movement. Not only is that breath vital for our life force but it presents an opportunity to optimize our core. When you exhale and get to the depth of the core you stimulate inner core muscles creating a sound structural tension. When you move with this tension you experience strength and control.... When your respiratory system and movement is in sync you have your core supporting you in everything you do through out the day. This means that you feel strong and in control of your body and your life. Planet earth alone doesn't need an active core, humans do too. In the absence of an active core your body is an unstable, unsupported structure just waiting to get hurt. So learn how to breath right. Then use that breath to fuel your core and finally apply that core to everything you do with your body. If this doesn't make sense HIRE A Coach who can help you understand the basic fundamentals you have forgotten in the business of life. Moving well is an essential part of being a human. Don't ever forget this. #torontopersonaltrainer #intention #universallaw #peace #happiness #fitnessredefined #core #movement #moveright #breath

We have all heard numerous times that our thoughts create our reality. Not only how we think motivates our actions hence changing our circumstances, but being consistently stuck in specific thought process will create physical restrictions. So it comes with no surprise stressful times are accompanied by neck, back pain or some other ailment.... As I mentioned in my last post our attention to what is, and intention to what you want it to be heavily influences our reality and hence our life experience. So take a deep breath in and observe your mind to see what kind of seeds you are planting right now. If thoughts are not inline with your intentions just change them with another deep breath and intention to let go. Our intention and attention is an amazing feature of this human machine. Using it will change your life. #torontopersonaltrainer #intention #universallaw #peace #happiness #movementcoach
