Performed a wonderful ceremony for a beautiful couple at the Idlewyld Inn in London last week. Thanks Jessica and Brent for the lovely testimonial: Deb, Thank you for being such a wonderful officiant. We both thought you were calm, knowledgeable and generally lovely. We particularly enjoyed the way you incorporated the things that we each privately wrote to you about why we love one another into the ceremony. We so appreciated that you were able to work with us on short notice and arrange Skype meetings in lieu of face-to-face ones. Likewise, we appreciated that you gave us so much flexibility in personalizing the ceremony, taking out the elements we didn’t want and inserting the ones we DID want. Words sent to me from a couple I married on Saturday in Stratford: Debbie, choosing you to be our officiant was definitely one of the best decisions we made in all the wedding planning. You offered us so much patience for two young people from a different country who know only a little about the traditions, the common courtesy, or even official procedures of getting married in Canada. You have well prepared material for us to choose the possible options from and you helped us... go through each item on the list thoroughly. This all made our life so much easier.
