Have you ever taken a picture of someone and when viewing it afterwards, noticed 'orbs', 'circles' or 'haze' and 'smudging' around certain individuals in the photo? Sometimes we can rationalize these effects with lighting, reflection off of other objects etc., but more often than not, we cannot justify them. Quite a few years ago I worked with a twenty-six year old who had two years earlier been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. No medication seemed to abate his symptoms and he was literally wasting away. They say what you do on the first day of each year is how you'll spend the rest of your year. How did you spend your January 1st? Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2017!

I had to share this story with you, when we were moving out of our house earlier this year and going through old boxes, my daughter and I came across this letter she wrote to herself when she was in the third grade. Of course, being the impatient one that she is and as much as I tried to dissuade her, she insisted it had to be opened that day (33 years too early), almost as if intuitively, she knew that whatever was in that letter she needed to see. The day she opened it w...as exactly two weeks prior to the day she was moving to California. This was a big life change for her and although she trusted in the process and let the opportunity unfold as it was meant to, she was still feeling slightly hesitant and nervous - rightly so. She had completely forgotten she wrote this in her letter, but that little 8-year old girl had a plan in place and now in her mid-20’s was seeing it through. A subtle reminder that she was on the right path. Ask and you shall receive, I believe that’s how that saying goes? You have the power to live out your wildest dreams, the first step is to #trustyourself and then take action.
