There was enough of these odd coloured butterflies to make a runner and matching decorative pillow. Runner is 12x40 inches, the pillow 12x16. I took them outside to catch the last of today’s lovely sun. Our deck has 2 environments! I love the buttons!

Here is the finished square in a square quilt. The one outside of my usual colour/style zone. I am really pleased with the result, even though it made me twitch slightly, lol. It is challenging to take good photos in the Pacific Northwest, finding the true colours with low level light. I will try something else in the outside zone again. I have been been feeling blue after our 16 year old, one eyed cat, Jack crossed the rainbow bridge last week. Since rainbows require a slip of sunshine to poke through, I added a bit to all this blue and it made me smile. Jack made us smile all the time. He was not the brightest boy, as indicated by his inability to comprehend that cat doors go both ways. He’d go out the door then meow incessantly to be let in. After several months, and watching our other cats use it, he finally got it. He was however the most appreciative, affectionate, and vocal rescue cat we’ve ever had. RIP Jack. Even Popeye misses you.

This little one arrived yesterday, and I’m not done! Congratulations Jesse, Vayda and all your families. Welcome Aubree!
