Hickory Dickory Decks Carpenters We are looking for carpenters to join various franchise locations across Ontario. These carpenter positions with Hickory Dickory Decks involve building custom decks, gazebos and other structures from supplied plans and materials. We are Canadas leader in low maintenance decking therefore most our decks are built using these various materials. This is a full-time seasonal position that will extend from approximately March- January each year. ... Responsibilities: Build custom decks and structures. Framing, deck, rail and roof construction Involved with building inspectors and permits. Maintain a clean worksite. Interaction with homeowner Material take off and delivery schedules may be required Qualifications: Licensed carpenter Construction experience required Supply own tools (Trailer with large and specialty tools supplied if needed) Must have vail G or G2 driver’s license and own transportation. Good communication skills needed for dealing with management, customers, etc. Great leadership qualities Self-motivated Must be able to read plans and have good math skills. Strong work ethic towards building and expanding the company. Works well with others and able to take on a leadership role. We are looking for construction management trainees to join some of our franchise locations across Southern Ontario. Candidates will learn all aspects of a small to mid-size business focusing on building custom projects, permit drawings, 2D and 3D designs, material take offs, project management and providing customer service. This is a full-time seasonal position. Responsibilities:... Build custom decks and structures Involved with building inspectors and permits Maintain a clean worksite Material take off and delivery schedules may be required 2D and 3D designs Job scheduling Manage project from initial sales call to completion Ability to create and submit permit drawings is an asset. Qualifications: Construction experience and basic carpentry tools are an asset Working towards or graduate of a Construction Management, Architectural Technology related program BCIN designation not required but useful Auto Cad experience Interpersonal skills needed for dealing with management, builders, and customers The ability to work independently and as a team player Ability to thrive in a multi-task, deadline oriented, self-motivating environment Proficiency with MS Office Design software experience is an asset (Google Sketchup) Strong work ethic Must have a valid G driver’s license and own transportation.
