A little bit about me... I am an art educator and art therapist using art and craft to enable participants to express themselves visually. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts & Art Education from Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, Master’s of Literacy from Mount Saint Vincent University, and Master’s of Art Therapy (thesis pending)from Toronto Art Therapy Institute. I have taught art for the past 25 years privately and in the k-12 and post-secondary systems. I am a practicing artist working in watercolour and textiles. I have a wealth of knowledge around the history, theory, skills, mediums and therapeutic value of art making.

Plan ahead for October. I will be offering a series of "Brain Breathers Workshops" for students to help them cope with anxiety, stress and worry. Each workshop ...will introduce students to different skills and materials which can be used to tame their racing minds in a fun, creative and mindful way. Groups will be divided into the following ages groups: Ages 6-9 Tuesdays 3:30-5:00 High School Wednesdays 4:00-5:30 Ages 10-13 Thursdays 3:30-5:00 Sessions are $25/person (all materials included)

Art & Soul Studio will be opening soon at 60 West Street, Stephenville. Starting in October I will be offering a selection of after school art and art therapy programs for elementary, middle and high school students as well as adults workshops. Stay tuned for more information!
